The warm months of summer are finally here and love is in the air. As we lay in front of our television screens wiggling our bare toes and not remembering where we left our phones, this is the perfect moment to relax and binge-watch our long list of romantic movies. Whether you're at the beach, staycationing or simply chilling at home on weekends, you'll enjoy these seven summery rom-com movies that we personally watched and loved. After all, there’s no better way to start off summer than with cheesy love stories and some popcorn.

Isn’t It Romantic?

If you’re up for a good laugh and a happy ending, this movie is just for you. Rebel Wilson’s sense of humor and Liam Hemsworth’s charm create the perfect mix for a romantic comedy.

Five Feet Apart

This movie will definitely make you shed a tear or two, though it will be worth it we promise. It tells the story of two teenagers with cystic fibrosis that must remain five feet apart while falling in love. Cole Sprouse and Hayley Lu did an amazing job getting us all in our feels.

The movie is based on the viral fan-fiction trilogy by Anna Todd that had everyone on the edge of their seat. The movie tells the story of a sweet innocent girl, Tessa, that falls for the typical bad boy, Hardin, in her freshman year of college. The events take a sharp turn the more attached Tessa gets to her mysterious love interest.

Someone Great

The Netflix original is about Jenny who has to leave her best friends and boyfriend behind in New York for a job in San Francisco. But before she leaves, she goes on one last wild night with her besties. So gather up your girls and get your popcorn!

Under the Silver Lake

This isn’t your typical rom-com. The movie revolves around a girl who’s gone missing. Andrew Garfield becomes obsessed with finding the girl and is convinced she left clues behind to be found.

The Sun Is Also a Star

This is the second book on our list that is based on a novel. Natasha and Daniel are two teenagers who meet on the day that Natasha gets deported. Grab your tissues now because we promise you, you will get emotional watching this.

We all know how this story goes, except this time, it’s all real! Finally our favorite Disney tale is no longer just a cartoon. The movie stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Will Smith as Genie.
