Mena Massoud Attends El Gouna Film Festival 2019
It seems like Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud has cured his nostalgia with his trip to Egypt this week. The 28 year old actor, who we all refer to as Aladdin at this point, arrived in Cairo a couple of days ago and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel where he celebrated his birthday.
At around 2PM today, Massoud took to his Instagram story letting his fans know he has safely arrived at El Gouna city and that he was very excited that he will be attending the third annual El Gouna Film Festival opening ceremony.
At the ceremony, Massoud made his debut appearance at the El Gouna Film Festival 2019 and gave a heartfelt speech about how proud he is to be of Egyptian origins. Half his speech was in Arabic where he thanked co-founders of the festival, film director Amir Ramses and the Sawiris family.
Mena also talked about the EDA charity organization that he founded to assist artists of different ethnicities to get a head-start in the show business. Massoud himself struggled a lot before landing the big role of Aladdin and understands how difficult it can be for an artist to pursue their dream.
