Egypt’s very own Ahmed Malek will co-star alongside Australian actor David Wenham in “The Furnace”, a movie set in the 1890’s in Western Australia. The plot is centered around the history of Australia’s ‘Ghan’ camel riders. The riders were primarily Muslim and Sikh men originating from South Asia.

Malek will be playing the role of one of these camel riders. The movie is directed by Roderick MacKay, and produced by both Timothy White and Tenille Kennedy.

This isn’t the first time Malek’s revealed as part of an international movie’s cast. He will also be playing the leading role in the Canadian movie “Montreal Girls”, directed by Patricia Chica.
